The First Book Club of the 2013-14 School Year!

Welcome back!  We are super excited to welcome the fourth grade boys to what is sure to be a FABULOUS book club year!  Each month, the book club boys will get to pick the book that we read through a voting process.  However, for the first book club meeting, the media center has selected your book, which is also a Georgia Book Award nominee for this year.  Therefore, after reading this book, you will have a minimum of two more nominees to read before you are eligible to vote for the Georgia Book Awards in the Spring (go you!).  So, for our first book club, we will be reading The Familiars by Adam Jay Epstein and Andrew Johnson.  Our first meeting will take place on Monday, October 7th during lunch in the LS Media Center.  If you would like to check out the book on a Kindle, please complete this form with your guardian and return it to the media center.  If you would like to check out a hardback copy of the book, please come visit us down in the media center or check it out from your local public library.   As you read, please feel free to post your comments, thoughts, and opinions about the book below.  For a preview of the book, check out HarperKids' book trailer:
